Oil filter question
I use Mobile 1 oil, but i dont do it myself. i looked underneath yesterday, and noticed it had a short filter on it. When you guys say get a long filter, what filter are you talking about? Does it make a difference in how long the oil lasts?
What size/brand filter should i be using with mobil 1?
How many miles can i go with mobil 1? I've had it in about 6k miles now since my last oil change.

Re: Oil filter question
The size filter is 44 , you can using many oils differences like visco 5000.
The miles with mobile 1 maybe between from 6000 to 8000 km.
Best of luck.

Re: Oil filter question
The longer filters will flow more oil, hold more dirt before plugging and will also go into bypass mode much less (especially when the oil is cold)
With Mobil 1 you can easily run it much longer than 3k. Many people go to 10-15k intervals with good results. My comfort zone is 10k, although I know for a fact that in a good engine (one that is mechanically sound) this oil can go longer and still provide excellent protection.
