1998 TA - Gasoline gauge a little off?
I've heard the '98s have accurate gauges but my gasoline gauge seems to be on empty forever before i have to fill it up. Is my gauge off a little? My CHECK GAUGES light has never come on either when it's below empty, leading me to believe I've got more gas than it's showing. Is there some type of device I can buy to give me a dead-on accurate reading of how much gas I've got so I'll know when it's going to run out? I would hate to run out of gas in traffic. Ohhhhhhhh boy.
And how come when I shift in to neutral my gas needle drops a bit and then it slowly returns to it's position when I shift back in to D? Is there something wrong with the gasoline float or something? I don't usually shift in to neutral, but just the fact that I lose gas when I do bothers me.

the light won't come on in a 98, that's 99+.
don't ever let it get low enough to run out, it looks bad on you if you run out, and it'll kill your fuel pump. never let it go below 1/4, never.
