Corrosion on the battery wires/terminals will cause a perfectly good battery to act like its failing or not even allow a perfectly good battery to even let any power through at all. Take all the terminals off and make sure there's no corrosion inside where the bolts go into the battery. If it is use a brush and water to clean it and get a little tube of anti-corrosion gel and put it all over everything and bolt it all back up.
