All lights work, left blinker doesn't?

All of my lights work but when I put my left blinker on it won't blink. It just stays solid. I'm pretty sure this is from driving in the rain the other day but wouldn't it just not even light up if the blinker didn't work? Usually I can tell which light is out by having them all on and putting the blinkers on.

Yea, probably blown bulb. The arrow will stay solid.

if it were a blown bulb the light wouldn't even light up. ALL the lights still work, it just won't flash. i don't get it. how does that happen. i still get the solid arrow on the dash indicating a light IS out, i jsut can't figure out which one.

This happens ALL the time on my TA. The turn signal will light up when the lights are turned on but won't flash when I turn the blinker on. It's just the bulb becomes a little loose inside the socket and won't flash but will light up. I would just pull your socket out and make sure the bulb is fully seated in the socket.

yep, just pulled the front left blinker bulb and the socket was wet. the bulb's orange tint had shattered off in to little pieces. what can i use to clean dirty bulb sockets? i'm sure the others are filthy and full of water as well!

i must be missing the panels that go under my bumper to keep dirt/rain from getting to them. where can i get those? part numbers?

I spray them with WD40 and use a toothbrush to get the gunk out, you can dry them with a paper towel afterwards.

Hmmm...So taking off the fascia to get at the lights is just a matter of bolts, but I've noticed on my T/A that the center piece has these-I guess they're push-pins, or something? How do you take those off?

fuseone May 25, 2007 12:31 AM

change the blinker fluid next time

use a flathead. if they're the ones with the screw in the middle of the push on then use the flathead to lift the screw so you can pull the push-on out.
