Refill tranny - no fill tube - late 1-2 shift?
OK, so my wife's car is a 97 BMW with no fill tube for the auto transmission fluid.
Lately, it is shifting late 1-2 when cold, no slipping but just a late 1-2 shift only when cold.
The tranny has a tag on the pan that says, "Synthetic transmission fluid, do not change, good for the life of the car."
There seems to be a drain plug near the bottom of the case. I assume a fill plug is also located somewhere near the top of the case. There is NO FILL TUBE!
Should I swap fluid or just check the level? Can I top it off with Dextron 3 non-synthetic? I have a 6 quart pressure pump that can force fluids through a plastic tube.

I remember reading that BMW did not equip some of its cars with a dip stick because of the synthetic statement, my wifes 03 G35 did't have one originally but got one after Nissan/Infinti replaced the trans under warranty. Check with the dealer or better yet a BMW Forum.
