Default Winding sound coming from middle of rear seats?

For a while now, when I accelerate I can hear a loud ringing coming from the middle of the rear seats. I suspected it was the gears for the longest time until I changed the differential fluid. I had it checked out and the gears were perfect and no shavings at all in the fluid. So what could be making that ringing noise? Suspension? Torque arm? Since it's in that area.

check your u-joint. or it might be your bearings in the gears wearing out.

edit: you might have bent the driveshaft somehow, you feel any vibration along with the wine?

The gears can "look" just fine, but if the backlash or pinion depth are off, they'll make tons of noise. All it takes is one hard launch to screw up the pinion depth and bearing preload. Also, the gears can be perfect, with the noise instead coming from a bad bearing.

I had that same noise in my other Camaro for about a week before the rear end grenaded on me! I couldn't see any shaving or anything in there either and the fluid had been changed recently too so you may wanna take a closer look at that.
