Sounds like crickets in my a/c Recently I've developed some kind of fan squeek on my passenger side. It comes and goes and can pretty much only be heard on the level 2 setting (unfortunately that's the one I use the most. Go figure.)Most of the time it's not too bad then out of nowhere it gets damn loud. Anyone with experience with this, fixing this, or replacing a fan motor? Any help would be appreciated.

I think I have the same problem but didn't know how to describe the sound. but crickets is about right. My noise starts anytime the a/c is on. anybody know what this is?

Replacing the motor/blower is easy - just an electrical connector and 3 small bolts and pulls out as a unit from under the dash. I'd pull it and see if you have something in the box itself, I've had small leaves in mine before - won't hurt to check.
