Default Car just dies/ turns off

Well I have a 1994 Camaro Z28 and I was driving down the road yesterday and the car just turned off while I was going down the street. There was no stumble, hick up, or anything. It sounds just like you were to just turn the car off. I got it home and was able to do a little bit of work on it today and I have checked my grounds and most wiring I could think of. I have been driving the car for about five days since I got a new optima and wired it to the hatch with a Taylor battery relocation kit. It starts up and runs fine and anywhere from 5 seconds to 5 minutes it will just turn off. The only thing that makes me think that it is not the cause of something I might of did when I relocated the battery is that once it turns off all of my accessories, lights, etc are still on and working with no problem. Yesterday when it died I did look at my scanmaster and it had thrown seven different codes. 16 36 41 51 42 46 and 18. I looked all of them up and it just doesn't make sense. I know it has to be an eletrical problem but I am out of ideas of what to do as of now. If you guys have any ideas what it might be or suggestions on things to check I would appreciate it. Thanks Zack

Well for a quick update I just moved the battery back up to the front of the car and hooked it up to the factory cables. The car still just turns off so I guess I ruled out it having to do with the battery being relocated.

Don't know what it is, but after looking up the codes they're all distributor or ignition related except for one I'm not sure of. I'm guessing something is shutting off after getting hot, how old is the opti?

My opti died on my 1997 Z28 at 99k miles. The car just shut off just like yours did, Got it home and it started right up and ran fine 3 mins later it died again and it would never start back up. Double check everything before you go with a new opti. get the GM one or MSD. DONT GET THE REMANUFACTURED ONE FROM ADVANCED!! They Suck!

Same thing in my old pick up. It was the ignition module. Whatever serves as that in the LT1 I'm thinkin'.

Hmm I should have mentioned that the optispark was also my first idea too. However, I have a brand new MSD Billet Optispark with less than 300 miles on it. That is the only thing that has me confused. Also the ignition control module is brand new (less than 300 miles) as well. I also have a new coil. It doesn't matter if the car is hot or cold now it just runs for about 30 seconds and it's done. It is weird though that it sounds just like I was to turn the key off...no hickup or anything.

Defective ICM? Did you get an OEM or aftermarket? Just a thought.

Well even though the ICM was almost brand new, that was the problem. Lucky for me however, I have yet another problem. Now the car doesn't die on me but now it's missing and shaking the car when you try to give it some gas. I am guessing I fouled out the plugs when the ignition took a **** so a plug change is going to be first on the list tomorrow. Let me know if you guys have any other ideas. Thanks Zack

Well it ended up being that I had two problems. The icm took at crap and also my ac compressor chewed up a sparkplug wire. Replaced the wire and all is good.
