Moisture in Taillight

So I have been searching for a new passenger side taillight after mine got ruined because moisture got in through a bad seal or something. From searching around I have noticed that there a a lot of driver's side tails but no passenger tails. I have also run into some posts of other people with the same problem.

Is this a common problem that really only affects the passenger taillight on the T/A? Was there a bad year, like GM just made a bad batch? I was just curious from what I have seen searching around.

to my knowledge its not a bad batch or anything, but alot of peoples do it, mine did....i simply heated it up dumped the water out and put lithium grease along the seals....

I know you can fix it as long as it doesn't destroy the reflective stuff like it did in mine. But it always seems to be the passenser side one. I was just trying to figureout why.

just common but i wouldnt say its a specific year flaw
