can any one tell what the heck this sounds like to you 
JUst bought the car and it sat for two years. got running and it make this funny nosie. at start up its really bad and when i rev the motor. i let it run for about a half hour and it didnt go away but it did tone down.

not a lt1 motor in there looked like 6 banger.......other than that i have heard some waterpumps whine like that before when the bearing was goin bad round the shaft...coming from one of your acc. if not the water pump

Does it run like normal, or does it run like ****? If it runs well I would also suggest the water pump. How many miles are on the car? Mine sits a lot and I have yet to see that issue arise. Though I have had a LOT of other issues with my 3.4.
