Default should i seafoam?

this isnt a thread asking how to use it, but asking if i should use it.

i changed my plugs about 10k miles ago.. maybe a bit less

car has never been seafoamed before.. 112k miles

the reason i ask is because i dont want to foul out my new plugs by using it, but i really think it needs to be done.

would it be ok for me to do, or do you guys think it will ruin my new plugs? i still have my old plugs, but it would be a huge hassle to swap them out just to do a 30min seafoam treatment.. what do you guys think?

sorry about talking about seafoam, i know you guys hate it

edit* i just read the EDU again, and saw where it says it doesnt hurt the plugs.. but i have heard otherwise.. any thoughts to this?

well, thats good to know.. how many miles did you have on when you did it?

i guess i can always take an easy plug out look at it, then seafoam and take the plug out again and see how it looks.

honestly, with that many miles, a little seafoam isnt going to get everything out anyways. my car has 96k, and a few weeks ago i pulled the intake off to change a knock sensor, and i was shocked at how bad it looked since i seafoamed mine last summer. heads didnt look good either =\

you can do it if you want, but i'm saying no to this one.

why are you saying no?

im not trying to fight with you, just a question.

if seafoam wolnt get EVERYTHING out, that means it is at least getting some things out, which cant be bad, correct?

I've had this dilemma with mine as well. I have 78k on my car and decided not to because I think the plugs are original. When I decide to do the plugs I might give it a shot. I just ran a can of BG44K through the tank instead.

Since your plugs are new, you might not want to risk fouling the plugs.

I think you will be fine. What kind of plugs did you put in? It is harder to foul a plug than you think.
