I just order my MTI intake lid and the sensor hole wasnt drilled. i left it off and it through an SES light im kinda pissed about it. so what do you think send it back. drill the hole. can i just leave it off and turn the code off whats up? were these things supposed to be pre drilled?

here are pics of what im talking about

Drill the hole and put it in, you have to have that IAT sensor in there. Plus you're missing a clamp from the Lid to MAF part.

Peace,
Craig.

ya i put the clamp on. i was just putting it on first to see if it lined up. any trick to taking the sensor out. or putting the hole in a certian spot on the lid?

Pry out the grommet out of your stock lid, might need a little spit to slide it off without tearing it. Then get a step drill bit:

....like that and put the bit up to the stock lid to get the size you need, then drill away on your MTI lid. Drill above the seem a good ways, like where the IAT went on the stock lid. :thumb:

Peace,
Craig.

k got it drilled and got it in. it took a little while for the SES light to go away but its gone now and everything lines up great.

No problem boss, glad to hear everything is cool now. :thumb: Next time you can just clear the code by disconnecting the battery and pull the PCM fuse in the engine bay for about 1 minute then put everything back and fire it up. The PCM will have to re-learn for a few minutes and will act stupid, but everything is fine.

Peace,
Craig.
