car won't start

I have been have this trouble for a while now it takes spells sometimes it will start other times it won't even crank, the lights will turn on and everything but when you go to start it, it won't do anything, I have changed battery, starter, and key switch and had it programmed for the new key. Any help or thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Oh, boy! That could be about anything. A couple options that could cause this....A security system fault, causing the PCM not to see the correct start code. Any kind of wiring problem like a corroded connector, a wire rubbing, a backed out terminal. There are so many things that can cause an intermitant fault. Security systems are always a good place to start though. Another thing I have seen a few times, if your car is an automatic, the park/neutral switch in the trans, the car will think its not in park and not crank. Or if its a 6 speed, the clutch pedal switch may not be closing to allow the starter to crank. It could be a ton of things though. You just gotta keep playing with it.
