Default symptoms of tranny slippage

A4. what are some symptoms of tranny slippage? in other words how do i know if my tranny is going bad? I ask because when i slow down to about 25ish then juice the throttle again it hesitates like the gear takes a second to catch any thoughts?

sounds like slippage a little bit, or just struggling to find the right gear, ussually it will over rev for how fast your going/ what gear your in etc.

I'm no expert on trannys but through my experience with a couple that slipped on me it's usually most noticeable when just accelerating at pretty much any rate and it will have a hard time shifting. It'll rev higher than normal to hit that next gear or after the shift it really has a hard time getting going. Sometimes it may come completely out of gear at the top of the gear.

I don't think that's your problem. I'm guessing it's more of just a spot where the cpu is trying to pick the right gear.

Might want to try the trans forum for this one.

punch the gas... are your revs moving up but your not gaining speed? That slippage right there.
