I wouldn't use a Synthetic with that many miles. I would use a high milage oil, preferably Valvoline.

Why not?

I have a little over 60k on my motor, once I fix the oil pan leak I'm switching from conventional valvoline 5W-30 to a synthetic 0w or 5w-30. Not sure what brand yet though, but I have a week to think about it!

I'm using an AC delco filter right now but may use a supertech next time.

Castrol GTX 5W-30 with AC Delco filter.

My car just hit 110k should I be using a different weight oil?

i use a thicker grade oil because i have so many miles on mine...if your not burning any oil then i wouldnt worry about it but it wouldnt hurt anything to switch to conventional 10W-30 either IMO

I meant because he has over 100K on the clock. Syn have been known to leak through the seals on higher mileage motors. I just hit 76K on my 2000 and I am using GC 0w-30 and I am fine with that.

I use GC 0w30 with the STP equivalent of the AC Delco PF59 filter (oversized... and Autozone doesn't ever have the PF59 so I look it up in the xref section of their book every time) and PCV "fitting" 12572717. I get some oil burning. Want to switch to the LS6-style PCV system.

Do not use Fram except for the "extended guard" NOT to be confused with "extra guard." All of their others suck. I recommend AC Delco or STP because they are good and cheap. There are better such as Mobil, K&N, etc. but they are 3-4x the cost.
