Default after market power steering cooler people chime in!! please!

i just had to get a damm tow home because this is the 2nd time my damm adaptor for the power steering cooler return line came loose and sprung a leak! this is how my setup is, i have a metel adaptor with flarred ends put on one side of my factory power steering hose and the other side of the adaptor has a hose connected that goes to the cooler then through the cooler and back to the pump resoircoir! the problem i am having is the adaptor i use to connect both the rubber hoses together! this is giving me a fluid leak! i have even double clamped it! and it is only leaking from where the adaptor is connected to the factory line! i really need some ideas guys, what can i do to avoid using this adaptor! i am going to take off the entire line from the rack and pinion and take a few pictures! the tow truck guy was also very unpleasent! bent the **** out of my air damm, but its ok now and i think bent the pins on the steering coloum! so guys please throw me some ideas so this wont happen again!

That is probably your best option. Get a custom hose made. Let me know the # of whoever you use.

I did the exact same thing as you did. Flared fitting. I have to refill my PS pump 1-2 times a year due to the leaking.

Actually, I have an AL tube bend around in a huge U which is mounted under the rad support. Kinda like a Corvette PS cooler.

I never had a stock PS cooler and thought buying a stock one was a waste of money.

i thought gm put on power steering coolers on all Z28's after 2000! yea your better off getting the same setup as i did! a long frame rail transmission cooler i use for the power steering! it works damm well! my fluid never smells burnt or changes color! its erfect for canyan driving! my fluid never boils now! but i bet the few times my pump ran dry decreased my pump life by a few years or months!
