Default What should a Stock 00 SS Idle at????

hey all, I just have a question about idling. My 00 SS idles at 500rpm after warm up. Is this normal?? Seems pretty low to be idling around there I guess. I believe this car is completely stock as far as my knowledge spans, but maybe theres a cam?? Please help and give any suggestions on what I should do. The car as it sits has an air lid that's it.

If you have an A4 and that's in gear with your foot on the brake sounds about right. My tach read just over 500 and fluctuating 525-585 on a scanner with the stock tune.

M6 should be at 700rpm and A4 at 600rpm

The m6 actually idles higher. I think my stock was 800rpm and after the cam I had to raise it to 900rpm.

My tach is a pain in the ***, it shows 1000rpm regardless for my idle. Pre and post cam tune.

The auto is 600rpm.

The stock tach is very inaccurate. Not only that, it also lags behind a good amount as well. For my car it's off by 200 rpm when climbing in rpm.

With a 900 idle, it's showing 1000rpm.

From the responses on this thread, it just shows you the variance in the tachs.
