Factory Alarm problem 2002 Z28 Just started yesterday, I hit the key fob to lock the doors and set the factory alarm, and in 10 seconds the horn blasts! I checked glove box light, rear view mirror lights and trunk is closed? It's been raining for two days. Any suggestions? BG

Just one honk immediately when arming means the hatch might not be closed, if by blasts you mean it fully arms for no apparent reason that's usually the shock sensor in the spare tire area going bad - or maybe water intrusion in your case. Take a look at it and see if it's dry. You can also try turning the sensitivity down or disconnect it temporarily and see if it stops.
