Default Some newbie questions about fluid changes, etc.

Just got an 02 Z28 and I am in the process of changing fluids and all that jazz. I was just wondering if there was anything I could probably not do myself (I don't have access to a lift).

I changed the oil, now I am looking to change the:

- fuel filter
- PCV valve
- Trans fluid (M6)
- Rear Diff fluid
- Belt
- Brake fluid

Are all these jobs easy enough to do on my own? Anything you recommend I take to my mechanic? Oh and to change the main belt is anything in the way that needs to be removed? I think the airbox might obstruct access to the belt, but I can't remember. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

All of that stuff you listed can be done yourself. taking the lid off to get at the belt isn't that hard. Just loosen the clamps and unhook your sensors.

Autozone has a sale going on for German Castrol 0w-30. $25 for 5 QTs (add $6 for quart #6) plus a free Fram filter (which you can just throw away if you don't want to use a Fram).

If you don't know what German Castrol is or are scared by the 0w, just do a search, plenty of threads saying its good ****.
