Default Low Coolant light on but Coolant is full! Why?

ok, my low coolant light comes on only like every other time i crank up my car but the radiator and the resivior are both full and it is not leaking anywhere( i have parke and checked the ground and under the hood numerous times) Also, the engine temp is not getting any hotter than normal so im thinking its just a sensor tripping out but jus wanted a 2nd opinion. If anyone has had this happen or knows whats goin on please let me know. thanx

It's a common issue - you can try taking it out and cleaning it, replace it, or just unplug it to keep the light off. It's on the radiator a few inches below the cap. Hasn't happened to me because GM finally took them off our cars.

Its common for dex cool to gum up the contact on the sensor. Remove the sensor and clean it. Then replace it and see if the light goes off. If it does not then the sensor could be bad and need to be replaced.
