The sensor went bad... this happened on my 99 Formula... just pull out the light bulb lol
or replace the sensor on the radiator end tank next to your battery. its held in with a clip and O-ring to seal it. If youre fast enough you wont lose too much coolant

I think it cost me about $30. I got it thru my cousin who works at a stealership so I might have got a slight discount... He told me they go bad all the time and that alot of GM cars have the same part number for that sensor.

If you think that you might forget to check the coolant level on your own, I would just get a new sensor and not just leave it unplugged. Better to be safe than sorry.

wow thats weird, well mine came on when i just started the car, then i turned the car off and checked the coolent, it looked good so i started the car and drove off, after about 2 hours the light went away by itsself! it could be the sensor has residue over it or is dirty, u can try cleaning it first
