Default Truck very hard to start / bogs when pressing accellorator.

I have a 2002 chevy Van. This problem just started suddenly. . The engine just keeps turning and turning till it starts after 10 seconds to minutes. While running if I press the gas padel hard the truck bogs down alot. In Neautal it bogs a bit then goes for redline. While in drive from a start if I press the gas pedal all the way it will stall.

The truck is a V8 with a distributor. It's also been 100 percent humidity 24hours a day since mid last week I'm going to take it into service on thursday, but I was hoping someone might know what happened.

Sounds kinda like a fuel pump. If you have access to a scan tool look at the o2's when WOT and bogging. If under 200mv and staying low while under hard load it is a pretty strong indication. Then hook up a fuel pressure gauge and see if it goes out of spec. at WOT (or starting). If it fails these tests try a fuel filter first, if it is really clogged it will do the same thing.

Fuel filter was changed last year. Wires are tight. 120ishk on the van.

Update: The van is much easier to start after 2 days. The check engine light came on while running it WOT today. I'll post the codes tomorrow.

Per enterprise fleet services I took the truck to firesuck. What a waste of time that was since they just told me to take it to the stealership. There comments. "recommend dealer. A/C Low Pressure switch bypassed, maybe electrical diagnositc. Code P1381 ABS/PCM problem. Check blower not strong and air condition"

I had them check the bog condition and also the AC system. They told me they are not equiped to deal with my problem.

Codes were P0300 and P1381.

The truck goes to Chevy tomorrow.

needs a fuel pump. Be sure to tell them to change the electrical connector for the pump.
