running rich related to possible broken cat?

running rich related to possible broken cat? A few weeks ago my car started throwing two codes, PO172 and PO175, bank 1 and 2 running rich, at the time i had an exhaust leak because the header gaskets were shot. I fixed that this week reset everything and after abut a day the code came back. Today while my car was idleing i noticed a clanking sound coming from under the car. Looking under and listening it seems like its coming from the cat. I have a magnaflow 3 inch hi flow cat installed. Also since this started it seems like the car has been idleing high also, around 1000-1100 rpms. Is all this related? Any help would be appreciated.
