fuel guage question

Over the last week or so my fuel guage at random has been dropping down below E when I stop for a minute or two and then when I start moving again it goes back up to where it should be. Does anybody know for sure what is causing this and is it an easy fix? I am guessing its the sender in the tank which is not easy but hopefully I am wrong.

mines does it on my trans am...gets annoying, ill have half a tank, stop and it will read below e with the check gauge light on.

I would say your sending unit is going bad... Sorry to tell you that you'll probly be pulling the tank.

Some people say that pouring the Techron or whatever in your tank will fix it.

If you decide to drop the tank remember to clean it out good. You will be surprised at what is hiding in there!
