Default To good to be true?

I would be very surprised to see this intake at 400 bucks. Eldelbrock likes to overprice sometimes the way it is. It would be nice to have 3 options now instead of just the fast and the ls6. I worry aobut the torque numbers. I don't often cruse around town at 6,000 rpm's. If i got the torque i would still pay well above 400 for it.

This project brings a tear to my eye... great job.

The air intake looks good too. We have a similiar 2 ft long Ø4.0" tube which adds 10HP to any XT manifold test (SBC, BBC, LS, Ford) compared to just a filter on the end of the throttle body. It should do well on the dyno. Good Luck!

Man, I'd really like to see it on our dyno. Maybe you can talk Brent into coming in next Saturday. Bob

i want to try one. I just dynoed my Nova yesterday and was very surprised to see it carry the hp all the way to 7000 with the truck intake and ported 75mm throttle body.

I would love to see this one on it , one step at a time though

Sorry to jack this thread off course a bit, but Bob this image is way too cool! I'm only sorry I wasn't there to see it in person. The "stand" news made it out west almost immediately after it happend. Keep up the great work ya'll are doin.

Even though the power did not drop off at 7000, I noticed on my data log that at 6900 my kpa on the map went from 98 to 95. I guess it was fixxing to nose dive

I just changed slicks since the dyno to a shorter slick. It needs more gear since I was only crossing at 6300 and now with the 29" slicks it should cross around 6700 at the same mph. If mph goes up thats fine too

Thanks Richard, we appreciate it! The damage caused by the wheelstand below needs to be repaired and we'll have the car back out this Summer. We're going to do ur best to keep the front end much closer to the ground. Bob
