Almost done with my MS4 install, but... (radiator)
So the MS4 cam and spring package is in, now all i am waiting for is an underdrive pulley to come in and i will install and start the car.
Question: Can i start my car with out the radiator in the car? (incase something goes wrong - so i don't have to pull the radiator back out - that was a pain in the ***!)
thank you!
EDIT: the car will only be started and ran to make sure the install went correctly! & what type of coolent should i get and what raito?

The damn radiator is the easiest part of the whole job and you want to cut corners here
Maybe you will get lucky and the only thing that f@cks up is the water pump since your coolant acts as the WP lubricant.
On the other hand you could fry bearings/rings, crack heads etc...
At least hook it up and put some water in it and leave plastic **** and airbox stuff on top off til later.
Think about this. These cars will run hot with a radiator full of coolant just because there are still air pockets in the block and you want to run it dry
Let us know how it goes. Are you by chance friends with the guy on here who flushed his oil out with water

Just pulling the radiator was the most difficult part for me. I removed all the lines and still had a hard time, it was the four clip/things on each side that kept getting hung on everything.
Maybe i am dreading putting it back in too much.

Sorry if I came across as an ***. Didn't really mean to
When I swapped in my after market radiator it wasn't bad at all but if you were trying to do it by yourself I can see it being a PITA. I laid down under the car and had a friend lowering it from the top and with both sets of eyes and hands it went in pretty smoothly. It seems it wanted to hang up more on the DS which is odd cause being A4 there are more fittings portruding from the PS.
Good luck with it and BTW Maple Red is an awesome color that you don't see very often.

It was in the general or noob forums.
The guy posted up about his car knocking after an oil change and went on to say it was after an oil change in which he flushed his oil out with water.
I didn't know for sure whether to take it serious at first but but the guy posted back a couple times and sounded like he just didn't know any better.
It was a hoot If I see it again I will link it over here for sure
