Default Exhaust system questions, please HELP!!!

2000 Ws6 with the Corsa cat back system. Daily driver.
I'd like to continue using the Corsa system.

I want to add headers but am confussed about the different systems to use.

Do I keep the cats? Benifits with/without them?
Drifferent y pipes?
Power gains? Header wrap/sleeves?
Remover the o2's??? EGR???

I want the system to sound real mean but yet I do have a warranty that I'd like to maintain and add no hardships to the car/engine.

Thanks!

Come on guys!
I'm sure you all don't drive VW's.

I did the search and I'm not finding anything on whole systems just piece by piece, I need some real answers.

Ok when you buy LTs you get the y-pipe from the header company. So you can get ORY or one with cats. If emmisions are a problem then get cats, but it will be quieter. Id look into the Hooker headers, and get that new jet-hot Y-pipe with the cats. I think they have a special on the headers right now in the GP forum. I gianed 28 RWHP when I put on my Hookers. The rear O2s are to tell the computer if your car has cats or not, you can get the code deleated or run O2 simms. If you dont do either one its no big deal just a SES code on the dash. EGR will bolt up to the headers as long as you get the proper year. And BTW you can use your cats or your stock Y-pipe with aftermarket headers
Good Luck!
