I never liked the SLP D/D, but when I got my car back in 1998 there weren't many choices so I got it. Then I chopped off the tips and put on some bigger slash tips.

I cut one side shorter to make them the same length. Had never heard of this so I just fixed it when I ran into it. But I pieced mine together, figured that must be why.

I have DD on mine and its perfect. Mine is factory, untouched and both sides are the same length and symmetrical about the center of the car. They do stick out to far for my taste also, but i haven't gotten around to doing anything about it.

Maybe you have a broken hanger?

I had a firehawk that had dual/duals from factory and it looked much better then this. These things stick out way too much for my liking and the right one is totally not centered. I think if they were pushed in a bit and dead center they would look fine. I don't need them looking amazing, I just want them to look normal lol. I booked another appointment with the exhaust shop to fix these things on January 2nd. Anyone have them on their trans am and actually look decent? If so I would really appreciate pictures that I can show my installer. Thanks!!

You have to work at getting them right. As I recall, when I put mine on, the driver side tip had to be welded at a pretty good angle to the pipe to get it where it needed to be.

Mine fits perfectly and the tips do not stick out at all. Its from another car and I had to buy the factory mounting hardware from SLP. Its all how its adjusted.

just ought this off of a friend... the slp lettering faces the inside of the car so they in a way flow with the bumper (at least on my Z28) and i couldnt get mine to slid in all the way on one side (stupid TSP rumbler ahah) so they both stick out like 3 inches
