Default 4.8 Truck valve covers + brackets

I have a 98 trans am with the perimeter bolt valve covers. I am swapping the heads out for 243's. Will 4.8l truck valve covers and brackets work with my ls1 coils? I also have the coils off the truck, would they work better? Thanks!

youre better off using the truck coils and brackets together.thye are slightly better than the car coils. they will plug to your harness

Well I just got the motor out and held the coils/brackets up to the existing valve covers and it seems my plug wires are a few inches too short. Are the 99+ wires longer?

I am pretty sure the truck wires are longer. I am sure someone that knows for sure will chime in.

The newer Truck Coils are designed differently, I have the ones from a '99 Truck, and they are pretty much identical to the F-body.
