goddamnit, not only was i wrong, im the only guy thats lid has a f'in white spot on it now!!!

I've got an SLP lid on each of my cars, neither rub.

Neither seal worth a **** either.

I have a fram in one and a K&N in one. I can take a 1/16" thick ruler and stick it right under the MAF between the lid and filter.

yeah a lotta people have to have seal problems with them.

i noticed my wix filter had a WAY taller seal than my stock one. i could barely get my lid to clip down when i first put it on.

might be worth a try if your lid isn't sealing right.

I hate my SLP lid...it rubs the hood, and fits like crap all the way around. It DOES seal to the filter, even in the back where it looks like it isn't sealing, and the sides and front corners look funny too when it's clamped down. I bought it new a little over a year ago. Going to have to fix the paint on the hood when I go with a different lid. For a while I thought that I could maybe move the hood latch and bumpstops up just a bit and it'd clear without rubbing, but the hood sits flush with the fenders and front fascia so I don't want to make it sit higher when it's closed.
