The distance between mounting points on the F-Body and on the Truck alternators are the same, so will it mount; Yes. The only thing is, the case of the truck alternator (i have a 145 amp here that i replaced with a F-Body 200 amp for clearance reasons) is a good bit larger. It will fit in the bracket, but as far as clearing everything else down there IDK. Hope that helps.

my car has an alt from a mid 90's chevy pickup in it. has for about 2 years now with no problem

alt died in some small town while i was driving to panama city. ran a couple blocks to a napa to see if they had one and of course they didnt. we were going to do some street racing of there so we had a couple cars with us, one had a jack and a small tool set so i ripped the alt out in a gravel parking lot at 9pm and was able to match it up with some truck alt. worked great so far

if you use the 120 amp from a 02 Tahoe 5,3 you will have no problems. I'll use it on a 5,7 ls Camaro.. the rear bracket will not work on the truck altr.
03 and up truck altr has a wire more in use. Stay with 01-02mod.
