Mid lengths vs. Pacesetter lt's

I know a guy who wants to trade me my mid length headers for a set of pacesetter long tubes due to the LTs not fitting in his current build.

Heres the thing im not sure what brand my mids are, i bought the car with them and havent been able to distingish what they are, and the car makes good power.

Would the swap be worth the trouble? ive been contemplating a diffrent Y and catback setup anyway. And rather do it all at the same time.

Would there be a possiblity in loss of power?

lts are better, as long as you get a good y.

Go with the longtubes.

pacesetter is what I got, the y pipe sucks as was said above.

Trade him, and fab some duals while you're in there ;)

+1 for the lt's and duals

What's different about his current build that would make the LT's fit on his any worse then they'd fit on your car??? Obviously he's having issues with the Pacesetters, why trade for something that's sup-par or worse. I'd save up (& sell your mids) and put your hard earned cash towards a GOOD header, I'd suggest ARH for their awesome power and fit & finish. You've got a pretty good build going already, now you can make all of that really shine with a top-notch long tube header!

Get the LTs.....

Well chances are that your mid's are made my Mac. My car came with mids and the only company i know that makes mids are Mac. Find out why they wont fit before swapping, and dont swap until you know they fit. If he's your buddy he shouldnt care about doing a test fit

Because to 90% of people 1500 dollars is INSANE to pay for headers.

Whats the biggest difference anyone has seen between pacesetters and any Big name header.. I bet $/Hp is not needed for any average builder.

Like my Macs here, but if the swap wont be too much of a pita go for it.

I gained 2-2.5 mph in trap speed by switching from my old mac mids to pacesetter LT's. Worth the swap IMO.
