What's missing?

I just got my ls1 long block yesterday and noticed that there is an empty space with holes on it at the back of the motor just behind the intake (on lifter valley cover). I was wondering what goes there?

The only holes in the valley cover are for the knock sensors

right behind the valley cover and intake are holes for the oil switch and cam sensor, they are in the block and not the valley though.
