Default Buddy put a hole in my TB

A friend of mine that was porting my TB went a bit too far while doing it and make a hole the size of an eraser (the ones on school pencils for example)

Should I get a new TB or have him epoxy this one and call it a day? He did a good job otherwise of boring and porting it. What do you guys say?

If its a hole in the blade then I would just get the part number off the backside of the blade and order a new blade from a dealership. It's got to be cheaper than buying even a new Tb.

JB weld on the outside, let dry then sand smooth on the inside, leave it thick on the outside so it remains strong. Do it on the outside so that if it does come loose it just falls off the throttle body, if you epoxy it from the inside and it comes loose then it ends up in the motor, same thing happened to mine, JB weld holding over a year now.

I put a piece of masking tape over the hole on the inside then laid down some JB weld on the outside, let dry removed the tape and sanded. No issues since.

If you decide to get another TB I have one laying around in the garage.

A good epoxy will hold fine. Like said before just make sure you have plenty on the outside of the hole so as not to pull through and if need be open the hole up more to make sure you have a good fill.

I've done much worse than that. You shouldn't' have any problems.

buy a scrapped one, and swap out the blade if it bothers you.
