Default FAST 90 Intake install questions

Hi,

On the FAST intake were the MAP sensor hooks up in the back there a fitting that as been put in what hooks up there ? Now were does the MAP sensor go ? Or do I even have to use it. And also would any happen to know what size of o-ring\gasket that goes between the intake and the TB.

(This intake is being installed on a 2002 Corvette Z06)

Thanks !

It looks like a hose barb.

No fitting like that on mine. Just the MAP sensor, like stated above just push it in and your good to go. If I was you I would take that brass deal out and put MAP in like it should be

Well I bought it used came like this, I did a bit more searching I guess this a common mod for Vette guys you hook a gas line to that barb and the MAP sensor goes at the end of the line I guess...I guess there's clearance issues if you leave it at the stock location.

Yep...I put in a 90 deg barbed fitting back there to relocate my MAP away from the firewall...it's a CLOSE fit on the C5's and can cause a vac leak if the map is jammed up against the firewall. You just run a small hose or fuel line about 7" over and slide it over the MAP and tighten it down with a hose clamp. You can't see it either as mine is hidden under the FRC.

dont forget to change your valley cover bolts before you install that FAST intake. The stock valley cover bolts stick up too high and can cause the intake to crack when you torque it down.In this thread they have a pic and size of the bolts needed

This was the first thing that came to mind when I saw you bought it used. I am glad to hear you have them so you don't ruin it!
