Drone
I wish I recorded it. You know how if some one opens a window in a 4 door you get that like pressure feeling. The drone doesn't have the pressure but it has a steady whoo sound another wordds it like a continous deep tone at certain rpms and load. Mine was terrible at 1600 to 1900 at highway cruise speeds if I open the throttle from like 15% to maintain speed to like 40% at 65 mph to pass a car without downshifting you would get this big whoo (drone)very deep and loud.
Someone help me out here!
I no longer get it.

Hey Torchd 02 TA what size and where did your get your power stick bullet muffler and about how much do they cost? I have a little of rasp with my kooks and catted Y but it's kinda a good rasp to me but not and no where near that loudmouth rasp and drone. I love my GMMG sometimes I just want to crawl under the care and hold on to it an never let it go but that's going to change I'm going to install a CME setup.

I read several claims of GMMG owners that there was no drone. I just got it installed today and I disagree. I'm trying some second skin damplifier sound deadening and probably later a powerstick in the i-pipe. I want to put the longest possible, anyone know if the one with the 26" body length fits?

Spoke with the guys at classic chambered (powerstick makers) and they actually suggested one of their resonators at a custom length as opposed to a powerstick in the mid pipe. I'm still researching but I'm looking into a high flow flowmaster merge in addition to the resonator to help even more, but am confused if this would do anything with a stock y-pipe.

Strange, I get drone, but mostly when accelerating, and sometimes at certain rpms up hills. Well I hope the resonator doesn't cut the sound down too much, still not sure what length I'm going to use, maybe 18" body length.

I think I'm going to use one of Classic Chambered's Cobrapack mufflers as a resonator. Not sure if I'm going to use it with or without packing yet, waiting to hear back on what they think is best. What's crazy to me is that in my old LT1 I was running a TSP Rumbler that consisted of a powerstick (I swapped it in) in the i-pipe and nothing else, yet it has zero drone. I still like the sound of the gmmg, mostly on the outside. I kind of wish I had done this before I had it installed:
