Default BBK Throttle body hole first?

I just got a really good deal on my BBK throttle body, Should I say screw it and put the hole in the throttle body plate before I install it. Or should I take the time and try to adjust it first and if that doesn't work, take it off and drill it? Any advice from my fellow bbk people let me know.

I have have a couple of BBk throttle bodies. My buddie has one on his t/a.I have a hole in the one that is on my car now.My car had a low idle for a couple of minutes on start up.My dyno tuner drilled a hole in it.It idles better and the plate opens with a little less pressure.(less gas petal pressure when it opens).I was told that the stock one has a hole in it for that reason. When I had bolt-ons only I used it without the hole drilled. My friend has his without the
hole with no problems. Our BBK's are ported also.

Put it on your car and see what happens.Try to adjust it and see if it works ok.Then go from there.
