When I bought my 99 Sonoma it had a throttle body spacer on it. A while later, when I was chasing a misfire problem the truck had developed, I removed it. That didn't solve my problem, but I noticed absolutely no difference in performance. My Sonoma has a 4.3L V6, which is hardly the LS1, but thats my experience with a TB Spacer. I suppose I could install it on my car, but I'm pretty sure it'd be a waste of time and effort. Hope this helps.

About 6 years ago after I got my first H/C package, I was at CARTEK after school and a package came with two throttle body spacers. They looked to be some kind of plastic/plymer, not metal, about 3/4" to 7/8" thick.

One of the owners at the time asked me if he could "borrow" my car for an hour or two lol. We strapped my car to the dyno and pulled it as is. It came back with a number that I had expected knowing what it did when it was tuned some months earlier. We then took off the throttle body and put it back on the car with the spacer and longer bolts. This was done with the car still strapped to the dyno.

He pulled the car again and the HP came back to be within 1 or 2 HP of the pull a few minutes earlier.

We took off the spacer and never spoke of this again.

This is a honest to goodness true story. Not sure if this was an early prototype for something, Ive never heard of anything about it since. I want to say that the pulls were done in the late Summer of 2003 because I remember it was hot as ***** and soon after I got my first H/C package which was Spring of 2003.

Hope this helps

Pretty sure spacers only work when the T/B or carb is on the top and middle of the intake, not at the front.

Us carb people have been using spacers for years with good results.

I am sure your lid would not fit or seal right, and or you will have to find a different bellow.

Well nine time's out of ten when someone is doing research and asking a question's about a certain mod it's because they are interested in using said mod. Don't be so defensive, you asked a question and got an answer...correct?

Use logic and you'll understand why a space would do absolutely nothing on these cars.
