What borla adjustable exhaust system is louder for the ls1 cars? the one with two pipes coming from the muffler to the driver's side? or the one with only one pipe coming out of the muffler to the drivers side. here's a thread from another forum to help explain.

That may just be an old kit. My brand new Borla kit has a single 3" inlet after that little adjustable Y pipe (where the pass side exhaust tip is) and a single 3" pipe that comes out on the drivers side. As far as noise, I don't think it would make too much a difference. Either you're routing the exhaust thru the muffler or your not (or partially or not)

i had a borla kit on my z28, i wish i took that off before i sold it. my current car had a magnaflow kit on it when i bought it....waayyy to quiet for me

well when i got it on my car in 2002 i had the single in and single out. and i think it's quieter because of that second pipe.

I had the dual driver side pipe version on an LT1 car. It was pretty quiet with a medium plate in it... shorties/stock catted Y pipe and stock cam though. Change any of that other stuff and its a different story. I kinda like the dual exit version though, seems clevar to me. I guess there might be a little sound loss in the extra pipe too
