You have coolant leaking into the oil somewhere. Pressure test the coolant system and see if you have a drop in pressure.

If you drive the car short distances and are not letting it get to operating temp and stay there for an extended period of time it could just be condensation. Our shop race car does it all the time thru the colder months when we move it around in the shop.

milky oil in the catch can is normal..thats what its supposed to do is keep that from entering your intake...its the moisture in the oil from getting hot and cold

The foaming at the filler has started with colder weather 40-50 degree's.I have never gotten water out of my catch can before.I just changed my oil a couple of weeks ago and it was ok.I just checked the oil and it seems alright.A buddy of mine had a blown head gasket on a V-6 years ago and it turned the oil tanish in color and as thick as Tar.I am driving 10 miles at a time coolant temp is at 180-190 with in a couple of miles....

water came out first which water is heavier and then that nasty brown milky stuff you speak of came out after the water. The only time the motor smokes is when cold the normal condisation in the exaust smoke....

then i dont think coolant water is getting into your cumbustion chambers or it would smoke white..as for the foamy stuff i have never heard of that,,but i dont see any other way that the water in your catch can is the water from your cooling system..prob just the moisture from oil..if you wait a while the oil and water will seperate like you said..i drain mine every two weeks so i never see them seperated..Chase

How does the oil look on your dipstick when you check your oil level? If its not milky looking I doubt that you have an internal water link or a blown head gasket.

very common extreme weather changes creat condensation in motor , see it on mine alot seen it on my chevelle too.the only time to get worried is when your oil on the dipstick is milky.

If you do in fact have water mixing with your oil and you drive it that way, you can wipe out the bearings then the whole engine is coming out.
