Mine was done by a machine shop and they used the gaskets to port match it.

alright here is my idea. line the heads with painters tape making a sheet, and carefully cut out the ports with a razor, then take off the sheet of tape and match it up with the intake?

I would snug the heads down using old gaskets and a couple old bolts. I would grease/black sharpie/anti sieze the intake rubber gaskets and then set it in place and lightly snug it down. Pull it back off and your heads will be marked. I don't know which would work better to mark though.

Just use the gasket.

Get it to stay in place somehow, like tape it, and take a scratch awl and carefully mark out the intake ports behind the gasket.

Good luck

If he is refering to porting the LS6. I dont think it would be worth the trouble.
