Y-Pipe For pacesetter LT's

I just installed my new pacesetter LT's today without a single problem!! Now, my next issue is the Y pipe. I didn't order a pacesetter Y pipe in hopes of trying to fab my SLP one to fit it, But it looks like it will be a pain in the butt. I am just wondering if any of you guys took an alternative route, instead of ordering a pacesetter. and if so, what did you do?? I guess if worse comes to worse, I'll just order the pacesetter unit. But, I thought I would try to get some input first, as I have heard many horror stories about pacesetters "Y". By the way I give props to pacesetter for making such a kick ass product, and to TSP for selling them at an awesome price, and offering excellent customer service!!

I figured to get one made with no cats but a good collector would run around $300ish or more...parts alone wouldve run me about 180-190 so for the price the pacesetter y really cant be beat for lower hp <400hp cars.

Yeah, I figured the same, I was just hoping to somehow utilize my SLP Y pipe, considering it only has about 5,000 miles on it. As far as getting one made, nobody in this area will even touch it beacause I am not using cats.

well now you know the reason not to buy a new Y pipe for the stock manifolds if you plan on getting LT's.

why dont you want to run cats , some high flow ones arent back and will keep any rasp down or from developing. or you can pick up some cheap cats and have them put on then gut them. my Y pipe is a custom 3" pipe with carsound 94109 cats and a flowmaster merge collector. dont ask me how much because i bought it used. a shop should charge 150-200 to fab the pipe, cheap cats can be found on ebay and then you can get a real collector. or you can try picking up a hooker ORY and modifying that to fit.
