Where can I buy a balancer install tool?
Posted a thread in WTB but got no bites. I want to buy the balancer install tool. The long threaded bolt with a nut on it to install a balancer. Don't want to build it myself.
Any ideas? I've searched but none really mention if they're correct for a LS1/2/3/6 etc application.

if you are interested in renting one you can use one for a chrysler to remove the pulley. it's small and pulls from the center of the pulley. to install, i wedged up the flexplate to get the pulley back on.

I'm retarded. I have the balancer removal tool. I meant the install tool. To push on the balancer. I've used the "heat up the balancer" method but I don't care for it. Just want to use the long threaded bolt to tighten it down.

A long time ago someone found a bolt at McMaster that was long enough to engage the threads without fear of stripping them to get the pulley started, but I have looked and cannot find the partnumber, I can get the length of the bolt if you would like.

I made these up tonight from the left over rod. I welded on the end nut. Would you like to swap me a front or rear ls1 cover for one? I'm going to post these in the FS section.
BTW,, I work in miami at JMH.

Bump again. I'm not really looking for the long bolt version. What I'm looking for is the one with a threaded rod that is put all the way into the crank and then the nut is tightened spinning it down the rod.
The longer bolt version from WS6 project is simply a tomato, tomatoe issue you're still pulling on the threads in the crank to pull on the balancer. Sure you may be latching on to more but its still pulling on the threads to get it on.
I don't want to use gtpvette's tool either because I use a socket w/breaker bar to give smooth consistent pressure. With that I'd need to use an open wrench making it a far more tedious task.
