Default Got my MTI billet TB.. Question on Alum intake..

Got my MTI billet TB today.. Man is it good looking!! I wonder if I can pull out the water nibs or if I will have to saw them off carefully??? hmmm

Also, im considering the holley aluminum intake (polished).. Since the intake does not have the rubber O-ring type gaskets on it then how does it seal to the block? (RTV sealent?)

Also how does it seal to the TB? is there a gasket or do you have to use the RTV stuff again?

Or maybe I should just paint the damn LS6 intake I have laying here.. hmmm

Angry

I say sand it, paint it, and clear it. The weiand intake is a heat soaking, heavy, paper weight IMO. Or you could just wait until the LSX comes out, ( if it ever does) and go from there. When are you getting that motor finished up? Oh and hows the car coming?

Good luck Steve,

Rob

I say you need to buy the aluminum intake and just ship me the ls6 intake for the advice! LOL

I'de also say to sand and paint the ls6 intake.

The throttle body is awesome isn't it? Looks much better than pictures can show. It will feel right at home on the front of my polished Magnacharger

Nine Ball did you say you have a magna charger on an F body? I thought that you could only get that for a c5 or z06.
