throttle isnt fully opening
when i floor my car the throttle still can open a little more. how can i make the throttle open the rest of the way. is there any way i can adjust the cable tension for the gas pedal?
also i posted about doing the catch can. well i did it and the fat part of pipe where the pcv valve is was also restricting the throttle. i moved it up more so its pointed pretty much strait up. is that ok to do? thanks

I belive your talking about the bump stop mod to the throttle body that lets it open more.First you need an amp reader and then the key needs to be turned on to read the volts Ill look through my paper work I used to do mine in my book and ill post more info or maybe someone else will come in and help out im trying to remembeer what 2 wires I read off of dont want to tell you the wrong ones.Ill look around and send you a pm with more info if you dont have it by the time I find it.

well i did the bump stop mod and when i floor it in the car the throttle can still open more buty the pedal is to the floor and wont let the throttle open all the way to the bump stop. do you get what im saying? like if i floor it inside the car and have someone outside at the throttle body they can open it just a little bit more.

On my car there was a lot of cable slack at the pedal.
The pedal-to-TCS-pulley cable is nonadjustable. So I
adjusted it using a 3/4" piece of vacuum hose (1/8" ID)
slit lenghtwise, placed between the pedal "socket" and
the keeper ball on the cable. Cable goes inside the hose.
Then slipped a piece of heat-shrink tubing over the
the ball & hose to the hose doesn't just open up, had
a piece that was the right size.

under the hood there is a way to adjust the slack on the throttle cable. I had the same problem and fixed it by tightening the slack that way. If you follow the throttle cable you'll find a plastic piece, up near the pcm where the cables bend around the engine compartment that you can unlick and slide forward or backward to increase or decrease slack.

hmm, not sure about the ac line. Ok...if your in front of your car looking at the engine. On the left side of the motor on the frame you should see several cables, they go up and down and are clipped together. Follow those up and around and you'll see a plastic piece that looks like its part of the cable...I didn't even know you could adjust it this way until a guy did it at a dyno I was at one day. He noticed the tb not going back all the way to the bump stop. Well that piece unclips and allows you to adjust the slack. I know it sounds funny cause I'm having a hard time describing it. If you need me to I can go out to my car and give ya my cell number and I'll describe it better.

ok I went outside in the pouring rain and took a look at it to refresh my memory. Right behind the battery is a round case with 3 cables coming out of it. Follow those cables and you'll see them bend around and one of them go to the throttle body. Thats your throttle cable and you'll notice a round plastic thing on it that you can unclip and adjust.

well when i did the bump stop i didnt hit the gas from inside i did it from outside so i knew it would fully open. it measured 4.6 volts and the limit is 4.7 so im strait. but thanks cause if i would have done it the otehr way around, which im sure is what you were thinking, by hittin the gas in the car and then going past the inital voltage i would have been having to intall a screw to stop the throttle lol

The cable from the cruise control to TCS servo and the
cable from the TCS servo to the TB are adjustable. The
cable from the gas pedal to the TCS servo is not, this
is the one you have to "rig" if you still don't fully pull
the blade open. Even if the TCS - TB one is snugged you
may not have enough draw from the pedal; mine didn't,
as-delivered.
