Default Creating an LS1 exhaust website, give me ideas

I haven't seen a site like this yet, and was thinking about creating one. It could have sound and video clips organized by Corvette vs. F-body, header brand/style, Y-pipe, cat-back, true duals, etc. I've already accumulated several clips but would set up some method for people to send clips in. It could also include pictures of kits, tips, etc.

What would you like to see on a site like this? What layout, features, organization, etc.?

For each eaxhaust clip, have a scantily clad chic that you click on.

If there are multiple clips, have each significant body part link to a different clip? Or maybe left breast for ORY, right for cats?

Yeah, each clip would list any and all mods that would affect the sound such as heads/cam/forced induction. Each link will include the exact exhaust setup from the manifolds/headers back.

What would you like to know about the installer? Just who did it, or if it was professional or DIY?

Default Dyno numbers

I agree about only posting before/after dyno numbers. If I get any of these, I would post the info/pics as well. Too much variance to post anything but before/after though, I don't want to give any mis-information... just provide a resource for what seems to be one of the most frequently asked questions on the message boards.

Gotcha, and for the DYI'ers they can post a link to the shop where they bought the parts if they would like.

It would be great to see some tested flow numbers for cats and mufflers, different brands and sizes

http://www.eadperformance.com/exhaustfiles.htm

and

http://exhaustsoundclips.com/index.html

are very comprehensive sites already up and running with plenty of downloadable audio and video clips. I used their sites extensively and downloaded some stuff while I was determining what I wanted to do with my car.

Dawg, I've seen those links before but wasn't able to find much on the exhaustsoundclips.com site. Am I missing something there? Are the clips just under Sound Clips, then GM, then 5.7 liter or whatever they named it?

EAD's site has some nice clips, but I want more. Basically all of the clips that I have found, I want hosted in one place.

Default The exhaust site is up!

Here is the initial LS1 Sounds site. There are already 300+ MB worth of exhaust sound and video clips currently available. Please send me any and all clips that you have or know of (that aren't already available) and they will be hosted on this site. Send in pictures of exhaust systems and tips, plus any installation tips that you have too! Also, if your clip is hosted and you don't want it to be... let me know so I can remove it. Send all correspondence to chad@aplus.net. Currently the site features LS1 F-bodies, but can always expand to cover other models if the interest is there.

There are still some blanks that need to be filled in regarding details of the exhaust systems. If you have any information to provide, please send me an email. I hope this site is helpful to people trying to pick out an exhaust system... that is one of the most common questions that I see asked on forums.
