Default Rear o2 sensors

Just got my first ls1, 2000 a4 camaro (60k miles), really want to do true dual exhaust. Just want some advice on rear o2s. Is it possible to run the rear o2s with long tube headers or is it better to just get em tuned out? Gonna run cats and 2.5 inch pipe. Also will the car pass inspection with the rear o2s tune out? Trying to keep it street legal, it's my daily driver. Only mods so far is a lid and smooth bellows.

It is possible, but not necessary at all. In my opinion, if you go with long tubes ditch the rears get them tuned out. Inspection depends on where you live. Some states require both front and rear o2's some (like Florida) you just need a title and insurance. I'd recommend checking it out at your dmv or online before you change anything too drastic.

Thanks broham, after checking the dmv it seems I'm allowed 2 not ready's in my test so tuning em out will work.
