Hooker LT's vs. Pacesetters

I was thinking about getting the Hooker long tubes, but then i saw the price on the Pacesetter LT's. I was just wondering if they both are pretty much similar in the hp/trq. gains? and are the Hooker's worth all the money over pacesetters? thanx.

gains will be similar, ypipes look similar but pricing is getting closer and closer.

I have the Hooker LT's and they have been a very nice product so far. I must say the Y-pipe is sh*t, but from what I hear the pacesetter is as well. If I had to purchase a set again I would opt for Jet-Hots instead. They come with the O2 holes on the inside of the header which would make a big difference when installing the sensors themselves. I could not see any huge difference occuring between any 1 3/4 inch primary pipe header in the HP/TQ category, unless they had the merge collector or some other difference.

go with the pace headers and get custom duals made or have a custom Y made and use your catback. I have jet hots and love them.

Hookers score a 100 in performance but mine had each weld break for the air and egr stuff had to have all that stuff welded shut. POOR weld jobs on the hookers. Once all is welded they are great.

If you are not going to use that stuff just have it cut off and welded over before installing and it will make the install easier.

Take care,

I am VERY impressed with the quality of my coated offroad pacesetters. Much nicer than I expected for $360 shipped with a T-shirt, 02 extensions, and all hardware included.

I bought a set of Hookers REALLY cheap for the same reason, the driver's side AIR tube had a bad weld and blew out and the guy I bought them from was just going to buy a different set, so i'm just getting them all cut and welded up.

I say the pacesetters with no emmisions equitment, they seem to be verry high quality and havent heard many complaints about them at all. Only thing I would do is get a Y-pipe using the flowmaster collector.

Yep likewise here also.

Hooker, Jet-Hot, and Pacesetter are the same tube configuration. Therefore the performance should be similar.
