TSP 1 7/8 LT's

I ordered mine 4.5 weeks ago through RPM of Garner, NC and just got notification saying they should be here early next week and I was looking for threads about fitment. I see where everyone says they love them and they make good power but I haven't seen anyone talk about fitment and quality. Does anyone who actually has a set have any insights and pics of them they'd share? Thanks.
;)

I'll let you know next week when I get mine.

They shipped today.

I ordered mine on Friday from TSP and was promptly sent an email telling me they were out of stock until mid-week, I guess I waited just long enough to place my order. :burn:

They had been out of stock for several weeks but are back in stock and shipping daily as of now!

I sure could go for a sale on these headers or some free shipping or something!

they fit great. but goodluck getting them in with the motor still in the car. my pacesetter 1 3/4" LTs dropped right in with the heads off but these wouldnt come out with the heads off, steering shaft removed and motor lifted off the mounts. had to drop the motor to remove them. but they fit great and the quality is awesome! here's a few pics

if they didnt go in easily... then you were doing it wrong...

usually you just have to get the car way up in the air and go in from below with the header sitting completely vertical...

nobody makes headers that you have to pull the motor or the heads to put in...they wouldnt ever sell any if that was the case...

transammiller Mar 21, 2010 07:15 PM

just speaking from experience. i'm sure they would have gone in easily had it been on a lift. those primaries are huge.

xdanny510x Mar 21, 2010 07:21 PM

btw is it true that some f body headers would clear enough to fit trucks? such as in silverados.. im tempting to go bigger headers now since i got bigger cubes..

Zmg00camaross Mar 21, 2010 07:28 PM

mine went in good. driver side took off 2 spark plugs, steering shaft, coils and brakcet, alternator. passenger side, starter and A/C compressor. Was doing engine mounts so thats why i removed all that stuff, which i recommend engine mounts.

We're doing poly mounts at the same time. I'm calling RPM tomorrow to see if they're there yet. Thanks for the pics and comments.

I think the fitment is great and I love them. Drivers side like all was difficult. I just grinded down some of the k-member and some casting on the block and got it in there. You just have to jack it up really high to get the header completely vertical. it is recommended to have a friend... it helps.

Thanks man. I have the best of friends; some mechanics, some McGuyvers, and some steroid junkies....lmao

I was one of the few people that had a bit of a problem on the drivers side. I had to do some modification to the steering shaft, in all I was set back about 3 hours in all on that header.

I've had mine on and off the car a few times now, they fit just as good as my old pacesetter headers did which was great.

i get mine tomorrow, but won't be installing till maybe this weekend

rob69zombie Mar 22, 2010 09:20 PM

Jason @ RPM tracked them and they'll be there tomorrow. I'll pick them up Thursday and hopefully install them on Monday. Thanks for the insight guys.

Lambert695 Mar 22, 2010 11:35 PM

Yup good luck and enjoy. They were my first header purchase but I think they were deff a great value for the price!

timpala11 Mar 23, 2010 10:55 PM

Just got mine in today as well!

Two days early! :chug:
