Default Questions on duel electric cutout location

I have installed duel electric cutouts about 14in behind my SLP LT's and am having a hell of a time with ground clearance! The cutouts hang down about an 1 1/2" from the y to make from for the actuators. Is there a better location? and is it a good idea to turn them toward the inside? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

I would just put 1 on the I-pipe. It will have the best clearance. They will still work the same turning them to the inside but I think the drone on the inside of the car might be annoying.
